About the Role
Nike is hiring a Software Engineer I to join its Global Technology organization in Bengaluru. The role supports Nike's internal Consumer Product & Innovation software tools used by teams involved in footwear and apparel creation.
The selected engineer will work with software engineers, product managers, designers and business partners to build scalable software solutions for Nike's design and creation community.
Engineering Focus:
The position combines modern front-end development, cloud-native
engineering, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD, testing and scalable software
architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and operate scalable software solutions supporting Nike's design and creation community.
- Build responsive, accessible and performant web experiences using modern front-end technologies and design systems.
- Develop and integrate cloud-native platforms, applications, APIs and services using an API-first engineering approach.
- Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies and complete assigned software engineering tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and business partners to deliver reliable software solutions.
- Support the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment and monitoring.
- Improve usability, performance, scalability, resilience and maintainability of applications and backend services.
- Contribute to software engineering practices that support operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- 0–2 years of software development experience.
- Experience with React or Vue.js.
- Experience with cloud architecture, DevOps, infrastructure as code, CI/CD and related tools.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch and S3.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine and Jest.
- Strong understanding of design patterns and computer science fundamentals.
- Experience with modern architectures including REST, domain-driven design and microservices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships.
