About the Role
The Graduate Software Engineer role involves designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs for enhancements and new products.
The position can involve software systems across areas such as operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools.
The role is intended for an early-career engineer who can apply technical concepts and theoretical knowledge gained through education or previous experience while working as part of a software engineering project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Code and program enhancements, updates and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software.
- Work on software areas that may include operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools.
- Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code.
- Identify, log and debug assigned software issues.
- Develop an understanding of software systems design and collaborate with internal and outsourced development partners.
- Participate as a member of project teams with software systems engineers and development partners.
- Contribute to reliable, cost-effective and high-quality solutions for low- to moderately-complex products.
Eligibility & Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or an equivalent field.
- Typically 0–2 years of experience.
- Fresh graduates and early-career software professionals meeting the stated requirements can be considered.
- Understanding of software systems design tools and languages.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of software systems running on multiple platform types.
- Understanding of basic testing, coding and debugging procedures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Mastery of English and the local language.
