About the Apprenticeship
American Express is offering a 12-month paid apprenticeship within Enterprise Technology Services. Apprentices will have opportunities for practical technology exposure, development and training, networking and engagement with experienced technology professionals and executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Write code using one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, .NET or Python.
- Work as a core member of an Agile technology team.
- Contribute to API specifications, code reviews and testing during development sprints.
- Work on proof-of-concept solutions and automation tools.
- Design and develop customer-facing applications across web, mobile and other channels.
- Work with Java services and APIs.
- Design and implement web-enabled systems for data collection.
Eligibility & Qualification
- Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or another technical discipline is eligible.
- A strong interest in technology and willingness to learn is expected.
- Curiosity, problem-solving ability and a data-driven approach are valued.
- Applicants should be comfortable working with technology teams and Agile ways of working.
